Each spring and fall, the McLean Trees Foundation (MTF) conducts tree-planting projects in McLean public rights-of-way, traffic medians, parks, and school grounds. Throughout the year MTF monitors and maintains trees to keep them healthy.

We recruit volunteers of all ages to participate in these projects.Volunteers work independently or in a group. Businesses, civic groups, homeowner associations, churches, schools, Scouts, and other organizations are welcome to participate. No experience is necessary. In consultation with the Fairfax County Department of Urban Forestry, MTF provides information, assistance and supervision. Volunteer activities include:
