sponsor a tree

trees are monuments to the future
Do you have a cherished person you wish to honor in an enduring way? Residents can sponsor trees in public parks.
How it works:
A donation of $500 or more allows you to recognize a special person or event with a tagged native tree of your choice planted in a public place. MTF incorporates Tree Sponsorships on sites slated for MTF trees in its spring and fall planting program.
You may be present or participate in the tree planting. MTF will send the donor and honoree a commemorative card describing the type and location of the tree. MTF's project map will show the location of the tree and, with the donor's permission, the name of the honoree. Please note that MTF does not install markers or signs at the site where they are planted, but does put hanging tags on the trees indicating the species, date of planting, and beneficiary of sponsorship.
Individuals interested in sponsoring trees may suggest the location of a tree planting and the type of tree, but MTF determines the final location and tree species, contingent on tree availability and site restrictions.
